We are looking for a General Accounting and Payroll Associate.
1st Shift Hours are Monday – Friday 8am to 5pm
The General Accounting and Payroll Associate, under minimum supervision, performs hourly (production) payroll and accounting functions.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1) Responsible for processing the payroll of production employees by reviewing timesheets
and validating work hours and attendance of employees within the payroll system.
2) Calculate pay and deductions, update payroll records, and solve payroll discrepancies all
while maintaining confidentiality.
3) Process voluntary and involuntary deductions and deduction changes.
4) Ensure that employees are paid in an accurate and timely manner.
5) Resolve payroll errors.
6) Prepare and distribute payroll reports and related information for various company
programs.
7) Maintain accurate records of payroll transactions and documentation.
8) Stay up to date with industry trends, payroll software updates, and best practices.
9) Maintain all payroll operations according to company policies and procedures.
10) Assist the Accounting Manager with data entry, processing and recording transactions,
updating the ledger, assisting with audits, and preparing reports.
11) Other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
1) The job requires strong attention to detail, time-management skills, and the ability to work with the current or future payroll software.
2) Excellent written and verbal communication and organizational skills.
3) Ability to handle employee inquiries regarding their paychecks, benefits, and related topics.
4) Ability to work closely with the HR Department to ensure that all data is maintained
accurately and up to date.
5) College degree preferred with concentrated coursework in Accounting or Business and a
minimum of three years of experience with payroll software and processing or auditing
payroll.
6) Knowledge of general accounting and understanding of and ability to adhere to generally
accepted accounting principles.
7) Experience or skill related to administering employee benefits.
8) Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
9) Experience with general ledger functions.
